CJ Stroud, Micah Parsons team up for youth football camp in Beijing
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

NFL fans loved seeing C.J. Stroud and Micah Parsons providing draft commentary over the weekend, and they’ve popped up together once again this week – halfway around the world. The Houston Texans star quarterback and Dallas Cowboys edge rusher held a camp for youth football players in Beijing, China on Wednesday morning. The camp was for youth football players aged 8-18 and came with instruction from the star NFL players themselves, as well as other coaches.

Stroud and Parsons met the youth players at the Dongfeng International Sports Park in Chaoyang, Beijing. The attendees received a group photo with the duo, along with branded gear and other take-home items from the event’s sponsors.

Stroud, Parsons debate NFC East, Texans vs Cowboys

During the NFL draft coverage for Bleacher Report, Stroud and Parsons showed fans that they’re just like us. The two young stars debated everything under the sun from who won in Pop A Shot to whether the NFC East or the AFC North had the best division in the league last season. Obviously, the Cowboys defender advocated for the NFC East.

“On paper last year, we were arguably the best division in football,” Parsons said. “Everyone was a playoff team.”

“No sir, AFC North was the best division in football,” Stroud countered. “Washington wasn’t nothing. Bro, what are you talking about? No one in the planet except for Micah Parsons thought the NFC East was better than the AFC North.”

Bleacher Report’s Adam Lefkoe asked during the broadcast who the best NFL team in Texas is, a question quickly sniffed out by the Houston quarterback as bait. The Texans QB suggested his squad is better considering veteran wide out Stefon Diggs chose to join them – not Dallas.

“You’re trying to create some beef, I like it,” Stroud said. “You know what it is, I feel like Micah knows who it is, I think Stef (Diggs) knows who it is. But everything has to get figured out on the field.”

“They ain’t even got a snap [together]. ‘We’re the best team?’ What the hell?” Parsons responded. “(He’s) faced some pretty good guys, but he ain’t never seen a killer.”

“You’re sitting on the couch with one,” Stroud retorted.

Stroud and Parsons have an opportunity to battle it out in person this season when the Houston Texans visit the Dallas Cowboys. The NFL hasn’t announced a date for that game yet. It’s a highly anticipated matchup already with the Diggs brothers set to go head-to-head.
